CTC

History

The CTC training centre was created in 1976.
It has a team of 34 experts available, all specialists with the unique status of trainer-consultant-researcher.

The training centre also has technological support which represents the traditional savoir-faire but allows access also to cutting-edge and emerging technologies, arising from the CTC study, research and standardisation programmes.

The CTC training centre offers a full range of training courses for a wide public: stylists, young designers, shop assistants, buyers, product managers, quality managers, sales teams and management teams, staff from research study and method study, production operators, technicians, engineers from the leather industry, shoe industry and leather goods.

The professional training courses of the CTC achieved ISO 9001 certification in 2000 by AFAQ

The CTC training centre offers two types of training courses: training focused on professions and transversal training.
                       
TRAINING FOCUSED ON PROFESSIONS

Footwear – Leather goods
In Footwear and Leather goods, CTC trains not only non-technicians to the knowledge of products but also employees from factories to all the stages of the manufacturing process and quality control.

Training courses on products:
style-fashion, knowledge of materials and manufacturing process, legislation
Training courses in sourcing: mastering supplies and optimising purchases
Training courses in conception & design: product development, creating technical files, defining collections, making prototypes
Training courses in costing: calculation of lead time and cost price, methodology of quality control during manufacturing
Training courses at work station: cutting, stitching, assembling, finishing in footwear and leather goods
Training courses on quality control in test laboratory: procedures, test methods, metrology, laboratory management
Training courses on individual protective clothing (safety shoes and protective gloves) – EEC labelling

Leather
:
Specialised in leather, the CTC experts train not only the non-technicians, i.e. the buyers or product managers, to the knowledge of leather as a material but also the staff from the tanneries on the stages of the manufacturing process by integrating the environmental dimension.

Training courses on leather as a material: knowledge of raw materials: leather and fur skins
Training courses on sourcing: mastering supplies and optimising purchases
Training courses on workstation in tanneries: river, tanning, re-tanning, finish
Training courses on the environment: treatment of waste and tannery effluents, own technologies

TRANSVERSAL TRAINING

CTC offers training courses on different themes such as sustainable development, safety, management and strategic development.
